Er... uh.. The PUBLIC beta of Windows 7 (Build 7000) expires August 1st, 2009.And yes, there should be a Release Candidate released sometime soon. The RC is rumored to be out on April 10th. However, that is just a rumor,to be taken with a rather large grain of salt. Whether or not it will be released then is something only Microsoft knows for sure. Stay tuned...!

From the Win7 Beta FAQ: <The Windows 7 Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. SeeInstalling the Windows 7 Beta. Your feedback and our continued progress will determine when the final version of Windows 7 becomes available.> (Note that this only refers to the public Beta (Build 7000.) If you're running an 'unofficial' release, the above does not apply to you. And, if that's the case: nobody can say when you build will stop working.)The RC (Release Candidate) is tentatively (according to several sources on the web) slated for release in mid-April.Please note that this has not been publicly stated on any MS website (including, but not limited to, the Windows 7 site.)Therefore, please take it with a few grains of salt. ;)HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. @ Microsoft Windows 7: Except that is NOT gonna give you the correct date... There seems to be a bit of a bug in WinVer.exe that makes it give July 1st, 2009 as the drop dead date - a full month ahead of the actual date.

Greetings from July 2nd, 2009... 12:14am.. Yes, it's still working...Edit: Now that WAS kinda weird... When I set the calendar to July 2nd, the normally dark gray I've got my task bar and my window title bars set to reverted to the light blue default color... The wallpaper didn't change though...

I looked.. Nothing super remarkable there.. Just one folder - User. A few files with rather long strings of numbers in the User folder and the S-1-5-18 folder. There's another folder - S-1-5-20 and it's got 2 more of these numericallly stringed files. All of these files are dated Jan 18th or 19th...
